The temporal advance achieved in each stage was roughly 0.45 s resulting in a 0.9 s overall advance over two stages. The circuit was tested using a Gaussian (bell-shaped) pulse as the input signal.<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type=&#8221;1_2&#8243;][et_pb_video admin_label=&#8221;Video&#8221; src=&#8221;https:\/\/www.signaladvance.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/SAledsfinal.mp4&#8243;] [\/et_pb_video][et_pb_text admin_label=&#8221;Text&#8221; background_layout=&#8221;light&#8221; text_orientation=&#8221;left&#8221; text_font_size=&#8221;14&#8243; use_border_color=&#8221;off&#8221; border_color=&#8221;#ffffff&#8221; border_style=&#8221;solid&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p id=\"u2448-15\">Light-emitting diodes (LED\u2019s) were attached to the input, the output of the first stage and the output of the second stage (see image above). These LED\u2019s light when the signal amplitude reaches its peak. The LED on the far left (labeled \u201cInput\u201d) is connected to the signal input, the one in the middle (labeled \u201c1\u201d), to the output of the first stage, and the one on the right (labeled \u201c2\u201d), to the output of the second stage.<\/p>\n<p>SA circuitry in operation: the temporal advance of the input pulse is clearly visible.\u00a0\u00a0 Note the order in which the LED\u2019s appear. The first to light is LED \u201c2\u201d, (output &#8211; second stage), followed by LED \u201c1\u201d (output &#8211; first stage) and then the \u201cInput\u201d LED.<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][et_pb_row admin_label=&#8221;Row&#8221;][et_pb_column type=&#8221;1_2&#8243;][et_pb_video admin_label=&#8221;Video&#8221; src=&#8221;https:\/\/www.signaladvance.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/SAscopefinal.mp4&#8243;] [\/et_pb_video][et_pb_text admin_label=&#8221;Text&#8221; background_layout=&#8221;light&#8221; text_orientation=&#8221;left&#8221; text_font_size=&#8221;14&#8243; use_border_color=&#8221;off&#8221; border_color=&#8221;#ffffff&#8221; border_style=&#8221;solid&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p>Above is a time-lapse video of a dual-trace oscilloscope (timescale: 0.5 s\/div) showing the temporally advanced output pulse (output from the second SA circuit stage) relative to the input. The temporal advance achieved was just under 0.5 s, per circuit stage, giving an overall time advance of nearly a second.
